Divisions & Season

Programs

Spring competitive teams for U10–U16 at Select, A, and AA — plus development programming from minor to junior, and camp & drop-in skates year-round.

Spring Competitive Teams

U10 Through U16

Our spring team structure runs U10 to U16 only, each division offered at three levels — Select, A, and AA — so players are competing at the right pace.

U10

Select · A · AA

Ages 9–10. Full-ice hockey begins — positional play, small-area games, and first competitive rosters.

U11

Select · A · AA

Ages 10–11. Building systems awareness alongside sharper individual skill work.

U12

Select · A · AA

Ages 11–12. Body positioning, transition play, and a real step up in tempo.

U13

Select · A · AA

Ages 12–13. Systems play deepens across all three streams, with an eye toward pathway placement.

U14

Select · A · AA

Ages 13–14. High-tempo training for players pushing toward rep-level and prep pathways.

U15–16

Select · A · AA

Ages 14–16. Our senior competitive group — leadership on the bench and in the room.

Choosing A Level

Select vs. A vs. AA

Select

Our entry competitive tier — structured team hockey with a strong development focus for players newer to the competitive game.

A

A step up in pace and commitment for players ready for a more competitive schedule without the full rep-level intensity.

AA

Our highest tier, with tryouts each spring, a heavier practice-to-game ratio, and travel to tournaments across Ontario.

Every Other Division

Development, Minor To Junior

Outside of our U10–U16 spring teams, every division — from our youngest minor players right up through junior — runs as development programming rather than competitive team play. The focus is building skating, puck skills, and hockey sense at the right pace for each age, so players arrive at U10 ready to compete.

Beyond The Season

Camp & Drop-In Skates

8-Week Summer Camp

A full summer of skill development — skating, shooting, and small-area games run by Monarchs coaching staff. Open to players across the U10–U16 range, whether or not they play with the club during the season.

Year-Round Drop-In Skates

Open ice sessions run year-round, on and off season, so players can keep their edges sharp between practices — no registration commitment required, just show up ready to skate.
